Welcome to the new Life is a Thrill.

We’ve redesigned the site using Wordpress to take advantage of some the enhanced customization abilities and to add some features people had asked for:

• You can now leave comments! We do require you to leave both a name and email address, but we will not publish your email address.
• Each post is now marked with the author’s name. Using the Thrillerati menu on the right, you can select an author and view only posts by that person.
• You can also browse our posts by category. These function in pretty much the same way as tags in Livejournal or Blogger.
• You can access our entire archives by clicking on the top menu link. Sadly, we’re not yet able to import our old posts, so there’s not much there right now.
• Finally, you will notice we’ve added a new message board, powered by Pibb. Pibb functions as both a real-time chat room and a traditional message board, complete with permanent links, HTML formatting (including images & links), and multiple threads or “channels.” You can sign in using your OpenID, AIM, or LiveJournal account. No additional registration is needed, and you can use the same account for all Pibb boards. You can access the Life is a Thrill board either by using the link above or via Pibb directly.

So what can you expect from the new LIAT? Well, you should start seeing some longer posts mixed in with the usual menu of links, photos, and videos. For example, I know that I’m going to start posting a lot of my tech posts here instead of my personal blog. Also, we’re hoping to add some new editors. I’m really excited about our first new addition, Joel Reed Parker, a.k.a packratshow. Joel is author of Game of the Blog, and the former host of the legendary cable access wonder, packrat(duh). This remains a work in progress. For sure, we’ll be tweaking the design a bit, and if you or someone you know might want to help us spruce up the design a bit, let me know. We could definitely use the help with CSS. Thanks for checking us out.
