Annie, are you okay? Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?

I just learned that the face of Resusci-Annie is based on the death mask of a young French girl who drowned in the 1890’s. Creepy. Here’s the video for the Michael Jackson song if you, like myself, can’t get it out of your head now.

(edit: put in a more descriptive second link)

I don’t get it. Why does snopes say it’s false?

It says that it’s false that it’s based on the creator’s daughter, rather than some dead girl. Here’s a better link:

    Caveats
    1. I do not know whether edited posts re-show up in RSS feeds, hence I have not added this link to the post.
    2. I do not know whether you can use html tags in comments, hence I have not.
